I know reading about different places and people is exciting. I love it myself and Fernweh is one of my steady companions. But why always look so far. Personally I try to concentrate on my nearby sourroundings. One of my last posts was about a… Read More

Bavarian Blue
I spent the whole week-end with my family. Because the weather on Sunday was amazing, we decided to do a trip to Ludwig the II. castle “Herrenchiemsee” at the shore of lake “Chiemsee”. It was a beautiful day and you could really realize why Ludwig,… Read More

In Barcelona I discovered one of the most beautiful places humanity might have ever built. Finally freed from its scaffolds one is able to see it’s amazing ceiling – turning your head up you might as well be standing in some wood gazing up at… Read More
drottningen av min borg
I went on a beautiful day-trip this saturday. Actually we wanted to visit the Lenbachhaus in Munich, but we came across the beautiful castle of “Schleißheim”.
It’s a baroque building, built during the aera of absolutism and with Neuschwanstein, Herrnchiemsee and Nymphenburg one of Bavarians royal residences. As build to be a pendant to the french castle of Versailles it’s even one of Germany’s most important baroque buildings. And that it is deservedly. Enough history.
Have a look at the picture’s I brought with me for you 🙂
The staircase is absolutely breathtaking.
And look what I found between all the stuck and ornaments…some clothing made by Vivienne Westwood, inspired by baroque design. It fits amazingly in its surrounding.
In case I ever have to host a ball…it will happen right here.
Some more stunning Westwood dresses. I would have loved to put them on just to feel like Marie Antoinette.
Right now there’s an exhibition going on, called “In dialogue with baroque” and just like the Westwood dresses you find artworks spread all over the castle.
I even found an älg;)
After three castles in a row a deserved some rest and the best beer in the whole world! The gardens and all the buildings around the castle are so wide-spread that you can easily spend the day just promenading through the gardens…
Hope you had a great weekend as well!:)

Sunday Love
Finally a sunday brunch with my girls! After some weeks of not seeing each other, ought to exams and work we had a million things and details to talk about. It’s always good to talk for hours about life, plans, travel, boys and the future. Long after sundown we sat at the river wondering about the past and future maybes. Things like good conversations will blissfully never be out of style.
Saturday night I spend in Bamberg where we celebrated the end of this semester and had a magical night at “Bamberg zaubert” (something like “Bamberg is conjuring magic” in English). All in all a fantastic week-end 😉
